*NEW: Due to a change in NASA policy at the John F. Kennedy Space Center, foreign national media may now drive their own vehicles on center to Kennedy's Press Site per the process outlined in "KSC Badging Policy for Foreign Nationals." This new process also allows U.S. media to drive their foreign national media counterparts to Kennedy's Press Site if they have a machine pass in addition to their mission badge.

All mission badges are valid only during the times the NASA News Center at the Press Site is open.

Directions to the Press Accreditation Building on State Road 3:

From the Cocoa Beach Area: Take A1A north towards Cape Canaveral. After A1A turns into State Road 528, you will pass the exit to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and the cruise ships. Do not take this exit but continue on State Road 528 going west, passing over the Banana River and Sykes Creek bridges, until you get to the State Road 3/Merritt Island exit. Take a right onto State Road 3, and after approximately 8 miles, you will pull into the Press Accreditation Building on the right (across the street from the Air Liquide plant).

Directions to the Press Site from the Press Accreditation Building:

Turn right out of the badging parking lot and proceed approximately a half mile to Gate 2. After showing your badge, proceed ahead, traveling under the overpass and go approximately four miles toward the Vehicle Assembly Building. Turn right at the light at Saturn Parkway, passing the OSB building on the left and the OSB II building on the right. The Press Site is on your right just past the OSB II building. You will see a sign at the entrance marked "LC-39 Press Site." Turn right into the entrance and bear left into the lower parking lot.
