GOES-N Launch Postponed, Briefings/Webcast Rescheduled
The launch of the GOES-N environmental satellite for NOAA and NASA aboard a Boeing Delta IV rocket scheduled for Friday, July 29 has been postponed due to an issue with the satellite. Boeing, NASA and NOAA are working together to develop a schedule that will target a new launch date as soon as possible.
Due to the launch postponement, the GOES-N Prelaunch Press Conference planned to be held today at 3 p.m. is being rescheduled. The GOES-N webcast planned for today at 2 p.m. is also being rescheduled. Both events will be held on the day before launch, once a new launch date has been determined.
For more information, contact Joe Tedino at Boeing Space & Intelligence Systems at 202/285-9559.
