NASA Kennedy Space Center Director Visits Naples School To Share 
Vision for Space with Nation's Youth 

NASA's Center Director, Jim Kennedy and a NASA astronaut will visit 
Immokalee Middle School and the students of Pine Ridge Middle School, 
a NASA Explorer School (NES) team in Naples, Fla., on Sept. 28 to 
share the Vision for Space Exploration with the next generation of 
explorers. The presentation will begin at 9:30 a.m. EDT at the 
Immokalee Middle School's auditorium, located at 401 North 9th 
Street.



"Just as the youth of the 1940s became the pioneers that launched our 
current space program, the students of the new millennium will turn 
the Vision for Space Exploration into reality," said Kennedy. "I 
can't wait to visit the students of Immokalee and Pine Ridge and 
share the vision with them so they can be a part of our nation's 
future space exploration programs." 



Kennedy will talk with students about our destiny as explorers, NASA's 
stepping stone approach to exploring Earth, the moon, Mars and 
beyond, and different careers needed to meet the Vision.
