Kennedy Space Center Hosts Annual Community Leaders Briefing

"The Vision for Space Exploration" is the theme for this year's annual Community Leaders Briefing being held May 24 at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex.

KSC Director Jim Kennedy will meet with various leaders from Brevard County and the State of Florida to discuss a variety of activities taking place at KSC and within NASA. Topics include Return to Flight status of the Space Shuttle program and KSC's future role in the Vision for Space Exploration.

Attendees will gather at the Dr. Kurt H. Debus Conference Facility at 9 a.m. for registration and a continental breakfast. Briefing begins at 9:30 a.m. Following the briefing, guests have an opportunity to see exhibits at the KSC Visitor Complex.

A variety of community leaders, business executives, state and local government officials, and community organizations have been invited for the event.

Media representatives are invited to attend. Those who plan to attend should drive directly to the KSC Visitor Complex and proceed to the Debus Conference Facility. For further information, contact the KSC News Center at 321-867-2468.
