JEANNE S. O'BRYAN HONORED FOR ROLE IN SPACE PROGRAM

Jeanne S. O'Bryan, a native of Milwaukee, Wis., was recently presented 
the NASA Space Flight Awareness (SFA) Leadership Award.

The award is presented to honor employees who exemplify outstanding 
leadership characteristics. The award was presented by Roy D. 
Bridges, Jr., director of the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Fla. on 
August 1, 2002, at KSC.

O'Bryan was recognized for her outstanding leadership in ensuring that 
quality Outsourcing Desktop Initiative for NASA (ODIN) services were 
provided to the NASA Office of Space Flight Centers.

At KSC, O'Bryan is employed by NASA as Chief, ODIN and information 
technology (IT) security services. She joined the space agency in 
1991. She is responsible for managing the ODIN lead service center 
for the office of space flight and management of the IT security 
services at KSC.

O'Bryan graduated from Brookfield East High School, Brookfield, Wis., 
in 1986. After high school, she went on to receive a bachelor's 
degree in electrical engineering from Florida State University, 
Tallahassee, Fla., in 1991. She earned a master's degree in 1994 from 
the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Fla., in engineering 
management. 

O'Bryan, and her husband, Cecil, currently live in Titusville, Fla. 
They have one daughter, Jessica, age 2. Her parents, Robert, and 
Beatrice O'Konek, live in Brookfield, Wis.
