NASA Honors Kennedy Space Center Employees
 
 
Kennedy Space Center (KSC) honored 52 of its civil service and contractor employees at a special Honoree Event held at the space center in May.

The KSC employees were among 250 NASA and industry employees from around the country who were honored by top NASA and industry leaders for their significant contributions to the nation's space program.

The Honorees attended a special reception in their honor, and were joined by astronauts and senior NASA and industry officials of the Space Shuttle and international Space Station team. They were given a VIP tour of the Kennedy Space Center and participated in various briefings. They also watched the STS-111 launch of the Space Shuttle Endeavour on June 5, from a special VIP viewing site. STS-111 was the fourteenth flight dedicated to the International Space Station.

The Honoree Award is the highest form of recognition bestowed upon an employee by the NASA Space Flight Awareness Program. Recipients are selected for their professional dedication and outstanding achievement in support of the human space flight program.

Civil Service employees honored were Regina Bronson, Cape Canaveral Spaceport Management Office; Andreas W. Dibbern, Shuttle Processing Directorate; Kenneth L. Fore, Shuttle Processing Directorate; Michael H. Haddock, International Space Station & Payload Processing Directorate; Bruce J. Kinnaird, Spaceport Services Directorate; Lewis P. Lineberger, Spaceport Engineering & Technology Directorate; Alan C. Littlefield, Spaceport Engineering & Technology Directorate; Roslyn J. McKinney, Equal Opportunity Office; Jeanette A. Platt, Procurement Office; Roland Schlierf, International Space Station & Payload Processing Directorate; Gholam A. Shaykhian, Spaceport Engineering & Technology Directorate; Charles W. Spern, Shuttle Processing Directorate; and Danny L. Wyatt, Shuttle Processing Directorate.

Boeing Human Space Flight and Exploration employees honored include Georgiann Allen, Doreen J. Burrell, Joseph E. Casey, Clark E. Creery, Merle F. Japp, Jeff B. Kramer, Edward W. McKnight, Alfred D. Pearson, and David M. Welke.

Space Gateway Support employees honored were Wanda A. Bullock, Steven L. Dudgeon, Kenneth H. Hooks, James S. Jackson, Kim D. Lucks (Comprehensive Health Services, Inc.), Hugh J. O'Keefe, Edward N. Ryan, Jr. (InDyne, Inc.) and Michael T. Tucker.

United Space Alliance employees honored were Robert A. Arrington, Christopher S. Baker, Anthony A. Ciaverella, Kaye B. Costello, Glenn C. Davis, Annita E. Full (Gold Coast Wire Assemblies, Inc.), Michael A. Hartman, Chris A. Hasselbring, Russell P. Heinbockel, Rechea H. Hutchinson, Thomas A. Lossner, John E. McClelland, Nicos Papaioannou (Kearfott Guidance & Navigation Corp.), John L. Phipps, Donald C. Russo, Gregory W. Schindler, Howard Scott (D&A Building Services, Inc.), and James K. Vanaman.

Other contractor Honorees were Catherine DiBiase, The Bionetics Corp., Jeffrey Hunt and Garrison Thompson, Lockheed Martin Space Operations; and John D. Taylor, Dynacs Engineering, Co.
