Discovery and Astrovan

The Astrovan sits beside space shuttle Discovery inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The Astrovan, which was used to transport astronauts to the launch pad, is on display for Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex tour guests.

Discovery will be displayed at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Va., and is scheduled to be transported atop a NASA Shuttle Carrier Aircraft modified 747 jet to Dulles International Airport in Virginia.
