Discovery Returns to Earth

The setting sun provides a beautiful backdrop for space shuttle Discovery after its landing at Edwards Air Force Base in California, bringing to a close the STS-128 mission.

Bad weather in Florida prevented the crew from ending their mission at Kennedy where it began 14 days earlier.
