Loading the Lab

On Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the Japanese Experiment Module - Pressurized Module, is being transferred from the Payload Changeout Room into space shuttle Discovery's payload bay in preparation for mission STS-124.

This module will serve as the large laboratory section of the Japanese Experiment Module, also known as Kibo.
