Rich Gudnitz specializes in recruitment and placement in the Human Resources Office at NASA's John F. Kennedy Space Center, Fla. Gudnitz is responsible for creating recruitment strategies, recruitment planning/logistics, conducting workforce planning research and analysis projects and maintaining relationships with various top-tier universities. Prior to joining NASA, Gudnitz worked in Washington D.C. with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and was a Congressional staff member with the U.S. House of Representatives. Gudnitz is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving on active duty from 1998-2005.
Gudnitz graduated from the School of Arts and Science at Bowie State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in history and government with a minor in philosophy. In his spare time, he is a varsity assistant basketball coach at Titusville High School.
