Chief, Education Programs and University Research Division
Gregg Buckingham serves as the chief, Education Programs and University Research Division of External Relations, at NASA's John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Fla. In this capacity, he is responsible for planning, coordinating, integrating and implementing all education services at the Kennedy Space Center. This includes programs in the areas of K-12, higher education, informal education and e-education. These programs occur both onsite at the Kennedy Space Center and offsite at educational institutions and other locations.
Buckingham has worked for NASA since 1984, both at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and at the Kennedy Space Center. Prior to this position, he worked in the KSC Shuttle Logisitics Office and the NASA Headquarters Office of Space Flight.
Buckingham has a Doctorate in Education from the University of Central Florida. He lives with his wife, Cathy, and two sons in Orlando, Fla. He enjoys camping and boating with his family and spending time at the family bookstore.
