NASA Is Looking for a Few Good ... Teachers

Image credit: Dee McClellan, Andover, MN NASA's Solar System Educators Program (SSEP), a nationwide network of highly motivated teachers, is now accepting applications from interested teachers.

Applicants need to have classroom experience (at least five years of in-class teaching). Teachers should also have experience leading workshops and be familiar with their state standards. We will train teachers on the use of NASA/JPL educational products. Accepted applicants will conduct and report three space and/or Earth sciences workshops per year for other teachers in their home states.

We are particularly interested in teachers from the following states:

Arkansas
Delaware
District of Columbia
Idaho
Maine
Massachusetts
Nebraska
Nevada
New Mexico
North Dakota
South Dakota
Tennessee

All application packages should be completed and returned by September 15. However, the deadline may be extended for candidates in the states listed above.
