Bill Gerstenmaier, Associate Administrator for Space Operations

William "Bill" Gerstenmaier, Associate Administrator for Space Operations, spoke at the Space Life Sciences Innovation Lecture Series on October 12, 2010. His presentation "When Organizations Should and Should Not Innovate" addressed the importance of combining creative management with innovation. Mr. Gerstenmaier stated that innovation must be part of everyday business and addressed early on in the strategic planning process and development of goals. It is risky for organizations not to innovate and how to use failures to move into a positive position is the key. Organizations must innovate to remain competitive.
