NASA Announces Space Shuttle Program Media Update

NASA will brief news media about the Space Shuttle Program at 2 p.m. EST, Tuesday, Nov. 22. The news conference will air live on the Web and NASA TV from the agency's Johnson Space Center, Houston.

Space Shuttle Program Manager Wayne Hale will discuss the program; provide an update on processing Discovery for the next mission (STS-121); and discuss work to complete testing and foam application on the orbiters' external fuel tanks.

Questions will be taken from media at participating NASA locations. NASA TV's Public, Education and Media channels are available on an MPEG-2 digital C-band signal accessed via satellite AMC-6, at 72 degrees west longitude, transponder 17C, 4040 MHz, vertical polarization. In Alaska and Hawaii, they're on AMC-7 at 137 degrees west longitude, transponder 18C, at 4060 MHz, horizontal polarization. A Digital Video Broadcast compliant Integrated Receiver Decoder is required for reception.
