When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST Saturday, December 16

Where: George R. Brown Convention Center, Exhibit Hall A

The Eighteenth Congressional District of Texas and NASA's Johnson Space Center will celebrate the holidays together at the annual Sheila Jackson Lee Toys for Kids Holiday Party. Annually, more than 3,000 elementary-age children are transported from community centers in Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s district to the George R. Brown Convention Center for a holiday celebration.

This year, NASA is providing space-themed games, educational exhibits and fun handouts for the children. A video also will be shown in the NASA exhibit with highlights of day-to-day activities from the STS-116 mission crew now on orbit.

Media are invited to attend the festivities. Dutton, Morin, Chamitoff and Marshburn will be available for interviews before and after their autograph signing sessions.

For interviews with these astronauts, please contact Debbie Sharp at 281-433-0830 or debbie.l.sharp@nasa.gov.
