JSC Director Available to Discuss NASA Exploration Update

NASA Johnson Space Center Director Mike Coats will be available to media in Houston at 2:30 p.m. CDT Monday, June 5, immediately following a televised update on the agency's exploration program from Washington.

Coats will discuss the status of exploration activities and the Constellation Program at JSC with media present in the JSC public affairs office briefing room. The session with Coats will follow a briefing by NASA Administrator Michael Griffin, Associate Administrator for the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate Scott Horowitz and Constellation Program Manager Jeff Hanley that will begin at 1:30 p.m. CDT Monday. The 1:30 p.m. briefing from Washington will be carried live on the Web and NASA Television. Media at JSC will be able to ask questions during that briefing.

Media planning to attend should contact the JSC newsroom at 281-483-5111 by noon CDT Monday.
