Expedition Five Topic of Tuesday Briefing

A status briefing on the work being conducted aboard the International Space Station by the Expedition Five crew is scheduled for 2 p.m. CDT Tuesday, June 25, at the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston.

Expedition Five Commander Valery Korzun and Flight Engineers Peggy Whitson and Sergei Treschev are in their third week aboard the international outpost, beginning extensive scientific research and preparing for the arrival of a new Russian Progress supply spacecraft on June 29.

Panelists for the briefing include: * Rick La Brode, International Space Station Lead Stage Flight Director, JSC * Dianne Murphy, Expedition Five Increment Manager, JSC * Vic Cooley, Expedition Five Increment Scientist, JSC

The briefing, which will be broadcast on NASA Television, will be available for multi-center questions and answers from reporters at participating agency field centers. NASA TV can be found on GE-2, Transponder 9C, vertical polarization at 85 degrees West longitude, 3880 MHz, with audio at 6.8 MHz.
