NASA TV Covers Final Expedition Three Spacewalk

NASA Television will provide coverage of the third and final spacewalk for the Expedition Three crew aboard the International Space Station on Monday, Nov. 12, beginning at 3:30 p.m. EST.

Commander Frank Culbertson and Pilot Vladimir Dezhurov will exit the Pirs Docking Compartment around 4 p.m. EST for a spacewalk expected to last up to six hours. Flight Engineer Mikhail Tyurin will operate the Canadarm2 robotic arm from inside the station and act as spacewalk choreographer.

During their spacewalk, Culbertson and Dezhurov will complete the external outfitting of the Pirs by attaching navigational system cables and foot restraints. They also will survey one solar array panel on the Zvezda Service Module, which failed to deploy properly following its launch in July 2000.

NASA Television is available on GE-2, Transponder 9C at 85 degrees West longitude, vertical polarization, with a frequency of 3880 MHz, and audio of 6.8 MHz.
