Expedition One Mission Update Scheduled for Thursday

Jeff Hanley, Lead Expedition One Flight Director, will conduct a Mission Status Briefing at 3 p.m. CST, Thursday, Jan. 18 to update reporters on the status of the Expedition One crew.

Expedition One Commander Bill Shepherd, Pilot Yuri Gidzenko and Flight Engineer Sergei Krikalev will have entered their 12th week in space, nearing the end of three months in orbit aboard the international outpost. They will spend the next few weeks continuing their preparations for the arrival of Atlantis' astronauts to attach the 15-ton U.S. Laboratory, called Destiny, to the station.

The briefing will be broadcast live on NASA Television, with multi-center question-and-answer capability available for reporters at participating NASA centers.

NASA TV can be found on GE-2, Transponder 9C, vertical polarization at 85 degrees West longitude, 3880 MHz, with audio at 6.8 MHz.
