RELEASE: 94-002

Statement by

Dr. Carolyn L. Huntoon

Director

NASA Johnson Space Center

"In recent weeks, the NASA team has shown the world what talented, dedicated people can achieve in space. The successful repair of the Hubble Space Telescope in December is but one example of the expertise and the ability of that team.

"The coming year promises to be a period of intensive change and development for NASA as we build on the success of the past to bring greater stability and efficiency to our programs.

"Houston and the Johnson Space Center will figure prominently in that process, and I am gratified to have this opportunity to lead the Houston team as we lay the groundwork for a future of productivity and promise."
