JSC SIGNS SUPPLEMENTAL CONTRACT WITH ROCKWELL
NASA's Johnson Space Center, Houston, has signed a supplemental agreement with Rockwell International Corp., Downey, Calif., for work on the Space Shuttle external tank disconnect assembly, production and delivery program. The supplemental agreement calls for extending the work being done to 1997.
This additional effort, valued at an estimated cost of $40,000,000, brings the estimated cost of the production portion of the Rockwell contract to approximately
$5,091,889,808. Rockwell performs the majority of the work on the Space Shuttle orbiter contract at its Downey facilities.
