Genesis canister returnRon Welch with quality assurance, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, looks over an inventory of arriving containers of solar wind samples in the JSC Astromaterials Curation Facility. The fragments from the Genesis sample return capsule, which impacted the Utah desert on Sept. 8, arrived by plane and a short van trip at the curation facility on October 4, 2004.
