The Office of Procurement provides matrixed business management support for JSC as an institution and, individually, for the program/project offices and directorates. The Office is responsible for operational business planning, acquisition management, resource management, performance assessment, schedule management, configuration management, and information and data management, and administration of the center's internal management control program.

The Director of Procurement is the principal advisor to Center officials on all business management and internal management control matters, and is responsible for ensuring direct and effective liaison and coordination with Headquarters and coordination with external audit agencies.
