Day in the Park
 
The NASA IV&V Program, in collaboration with the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation, hosts an annual event called Day in the Park at the I-79 Technology Park Research Center. Hundreds of Seventh graders from North Central West Virginia Participate in this event, which offers guest speakers, hands-on activities, and exhibits intended to encourage students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

In October 2009, NASA IV&V held an unprecedented two days of Day in the Park, inviting 1,600 seventh grade students to experience sciende, technology, engineering, and mathematics in a whole new way. For more details on the event please read this article.

Inspiring the Next Generation Day
 
Inspiring the Next Generation Day is a special educational program for children of NASA IV&V civil service and contractor employees. In addition to spending time shadowing their parents during this annual event, the kids participate in hands-on activities and practice landing the space shuttle in the Shuttle Landing Simulator.

Lifelong Learners
 
NASA IV&V Facility civil service employees serve as instructors for a 5-week course about NASA as part of the Fairmont State University Lifelong Learners program. These students, ages 55 and older, learn about the International Space Station, Mars exploration, Aeronautics, and other topics of interest.
