Office of the Chief Technologist

The Office of the Chief Technologist serves as the primary point of contact for technology development at the Goddard Space Flight Center and manages the Center’s internal technology investments. In that role, the group plans, coordinates, and implements technology development programs and helps with long-range planning. Its Web site provides updates on new technology-related proposal solicitations, awards, and funding, as well as breaking news and links to technology features and the organization’s quarterly newsletter, Goddard Tech Trends.

GSFC Office of Technology Transfer (OTT)

Technology transfer is an important part of the mission at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. Goddard's technology, expertise, and facilities are a National asset that can be leveraged to develop new products and processes that benefit the United States. Goddard's Office of Technology Transfer is responsible for:

    * Seeking out Goddard research and development that can potentially meet industry and national needs
    * Documenting newly developed technologies
    * Patenting Goddard-developed inventions
    * Promoting Goddard technologies, facilities, and capabilities to potential partners
    * Negotiating partnership agreements for technology transfer
