GSFC Employees Enjoy Exhibits, Music, Dance and Food During Celebrate Goddard Day
On a bright, sunny (and for once not too muggy) July day, employees are spending today celebrating both the challenging work and the diverse workforce that reside at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.
There was plenty of music to enjoy during the day. From Mark Branch (a.k.a. DJ Scientific) spinning tunes in the Building 8 auditorium to a variety of artists performing on the mall, the sounds of R&B, rock, country and soul filled the air. Food selections were also diverse with choices ranging from Jamaican, BBQ, Mexican, Greek, Asia, and soul.
Employees also had opportunities to learn more about the wide range of projects and programs happening at Goddard by visiting exhibit booths or being part of the short 15-minute tours that were available in the Fabrication Area of Building 5, the Goddard TV Studio in Building 28, the NISN Mission, Network Operations Management Center in Building 14, the Super Computer Center in Building 28, and the Science on a Sphere system at the GSFC visitor center.
Everyone attending seemed to agree that the annual Celebrate Goddard Day event just seems to get better and better each year. See everyone in July 2010!
