 Michael (Mike) Behrenfeld, is a Senior Research Scientist and Professor, at
Oregon State University who specializes in marine algae research. Michael does
research on the physiological-ecology of marine algae, biogeochemcial cycles,
remote sensing of the biosphere, and novel optical approaches to understanding
algal ecology/physiology.
He also works in the areas of biochemistry &
biophysics of photosynthesis, physiological responses of plants to
environmental stresses, and regional & global ecological computer modeling,
climate change and carbon cycling.
