Fires continued to burn in the mountains of Canada (top half above), and northern Washington (lower half above) on July 29, 2003.This image is from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensor on the Aqua satellite. The red outlines shown above highlight active fires burning as observed by the MODIS sensor.
