Media Opportunity During NASA Administrator Visit to Goddard
GREENBELT, Md. -- Following the Fiscal Year 2013 budget announcement for the U.S. space agency, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will visit NASA centers beginning with NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012.
As part of the event at Goddard, a press opportunity is scheduled for approximately 12:30 p.m. EST. Reporters in the Washington-Baltimore area are invited to hear Bolden discuss how the Fiscal Year 2013 budget will support Goddard programs and projects. The media event will take place just before Administrator Bolden receives a briefing from senior Webb Telescope personnel about current activities happening in a large clean room facility. Media will be able to observe the clean room and listen to the presentation.
News organizations interested in attending the press event should contact the Goddard Office of Communications and speak with either Edward Campion at 301-286-0697 or Malissa Reyes at 301-286-0918 to set up accreditation and access to the facility. Arrangments should be confirmed no later than 10 a.m. EST on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012.
