Astronauts to Visit NASA Glenn
CLEVELAND --Two astronauts who flew on space shuttle Discovery during mission STS-128 will visit NASA's Glenn Research Center on October 28 at 1:30 p.m.
Shuttle pilot Kevin Ford and mission specialist Jose Hernandez will share highlights of their mission with Glenn employees.
Their mission included delivery of the Fluids Integrated Rack, a high-tech science experiment facility designed, fabricated and tested at Glenn, to the International Space of Station. It will be used to perform fluid physics experiments to understand how fluids behave in microgravity conditions.
Reporters are invited to attend the briefing, which will take place in the Administration Building Auditorium. An informal media opportunity will follow. If interested in attending, please contact Sally Harrington at 216-433-2037 or the Media Relations Office at 216-433-2901 by noon on October 27 to be cleared through security.
