NASA Glenn to Hold Diversity Presentation and Panel Discussion

  • WHAT: NASA's Glenn Research Center, in partnership with the Ohio Aerospace Institute and the Greater Cleveland Partnership's Commission on Economic Inclusion are sponsoring a Leadership Series Event "Diversity: Recruitment, Retention and Inclusion." The event provides a forum for participants to learn about best practices in diversity in the workplace and discuss impacts of and reactions to diversity inclusion efforts.

  • WHERE: Ohio Aerospace Institute

    Brook Park, OH 44142

  • WHEN: Thursday, November 9, 2006
    9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

  • WHO: Stephen J. Pemberton, Chief Diversity Officer at Monster.com will deliver the keynote address. During his talk he will present recent survey data and insights to recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce.
Following the presentation panel members will discuss their organization's experience with diversity initiatives and philosophies on leading a diverse workforce.

Panelists include:

Dr. Woodrow Whitlow Jr., Director, NASA Glenn Research Center

Steven Peterson, Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition and HR Functional Excellence, Eaton Corporation

Deborah L. Plummer, Ph.D., Director of the Office of Diversity, Cleveland Clinic

Moderator: Ann O. Heyward, Vice President, Workforce Enhancement, Ohio Aerospace Institute
