NASA Glenn ExPO Offers Partnership Opportunities
NASA's Glenn Research Center, Cleveland will hold the "Glenn ExPO - An Exploration of Partnership Opportunities" at the Renaissance Hotel, 24 Public Square, Cleveland on April 6, 2005.
The ExPO will offer business and academia an opportunity to initiate strategic partnerships with Glenn researchers and program managers in preparation for NASA's Space Exploration Research and Technology Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The BAA, expected to be released in late spring 2005, will solicit proposals to fill key areas of The Vision for Space Exploration. The ExPO is being hosted by Glenn's Exploration Systems Division and the Technology Transfer and Partnerships Office in collaboration with the National Technology Transfer Center.
"The ExPO offers us the opportunity to forge new collaborations and strengthen existing relationships," said Harry Cikanek, Associate Director for Exploration Systems at Glenn. "We are enthusiastic about applying Glenn's considerable capabilities in support of The Vision for Space Exploration."
Areas for collaboration include:
- Power and Energy Conversion
- In-Space propulsion
- Human Systems
- Nuclear Systems
- Communications and Controls
- Test and Evaluation
- Other Supporting Disciplines (e.g. Advanced Materials, Structures, Sensors & Electronics)
The ExPO agenda allows each attendee to tailor a program that meets their organization's business and collaboration needs. In addition to learning more about collaboration on Space Exploration with Glenn experts, participants will be able to learn more about the Center's world-class facilities and register for one-on-one meetings with NASA engineers and managers. Tours of Glenn facilities will be available by request on April 7.
Attendees are required to register for the ExPO. There is a $125 registration fee per person and space is limited to two representatives per organization.
