Martin Media Relations Office 216/433-2406 katherine.martin@nasa.gov NOTE TO EDITORS/NEWS DIRECTORS: NASA ANNOUNCES ALLIANCE FOR TECHNOLOGY EXCHANGE Media are invited to witness the announcement of a new effort to invigorate Ohio's economy at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, in NASA Glenn Research Center's Visitor Center Auditorium, Cleveland. The Glenn Alliance for Technology Exchange is a newly formed collaboration between Glenn and two long-time partners, Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI) and Battelle. Working closely with NorTech (Northeast Ohio Technology Coalition), OAI and Battelle will enter into a unique partnership to stimulate economic development in Ohio. By building robust partnerships between Glenn and industry as well as academia, this alliance intends to enhance the positive impact of Glenn in both the region and state, and help further NASA's mission through the development and transfer of new technologies. The alliance's development of new cutting-edge products will work to attract federal and state research dollars, develop new products, create revenue and reduce cost for companies and help to create jobs.
