NOTE TO EDITORS/NEWS DIRECTORS:

NASA GLENN TO HOLD NEWS BRIEFING ON FY 2005 BUDGET

Media representatives are invited to attend a live televised broadcast of a press conference on NASA's fiscal year 2005 budget request on Tuesday, February 3, at 1 p.m. in the Administration Building at NASA Glenn Research Center.

NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe will begin with a preview of the agency's fiscal year 2005 budget proposal. Reporters attending the briefing at Glenn will be able to view the broadcast, which originates from NASA Headquarters in Washington, and ask questions.

Following the live broadcast, Glenn Center Director Dr. Julian Earls, along with Deputy Director Rich Christiansen and Associate Director Bob Fails, will be available to answer questions.

A summary of the budget request will be distributed to media representatives in attendance and will be available on the NASA Web site at: http://www.nasa.gov

Reporters planning to attend the briefing should call the Media Relations Office at 216-433-2901 by 10 a.m. on February 3 in order to be cleared through security.

NASA TV is available on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-Band, located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.890 MHz. For information about NASA TV on the Internet, visit: http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html
