REPORTERS INVITED TO PRESIDENTIAL ANNOUNCEMENT AND MEDIA BRIEFING BROADCASTS



President George W. Bush joins NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe today, January 14, at 3 p.m., to announce the new space exploration objectives for the agency.

NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe will then brief news media representatives about the new vision outlined by President Bush beginning at 4:30 p.m. Immediately following members of Glenn's senior management will be available to answer questions from local reporters.

Media representatives are invited to view both of these live broadcasts, which will originate from NASA Headquarters in Washington, in the Administration Building at NASA's Glenn Research Center.

Local media representatives interested in attending these events at Glenn need to call the Media Relations Office at 216-433-2901 by 2 p.m. in order to be cleared through security.

Both events will be carried live on NASA Television, and on the Internet at: http://www.nasa.gov

NASA TV is available on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-Band, located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz. For information about NASA TV on the Internet, visit: http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html
