Oneida Tribal Member to Speak at NASA Glenn Native American Observance 


Norbert S. Hill, Jr., an Oneida tribal member originally from 
Wisconsin, will be the keynote speaker at the NASA Glenn Research 
Center's Native American Observance on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 9:30 a.m. 
This year's theme is "Strengthening the Spirit."



Devoting his professional career to helping Native Americans rebuild 
Indian communities primarily through education, Hill will speak to 
the contributions, contradictions and challenges of diversity in a 
contemporary society.



Hill is currently the Executive Director of the American Indian 
Graduate Center (AIGC) in Albuquerque N.M., which is the only 
nonprofit organization to fund graduate Indian education, and AIGC 
Scholars, which manages the American Indian and Alaska Native 
component of the Gates Millennium Scholarship initiative, funded by 
the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and administered by the United 
Negro College Fund.



This special program is being sponsored by Glenn's Native American 
Advisory Council, managed through the Center's Office of Equal 
Opportunity Programs.
