Public Service Announcements
Following are 10, 20 and 30-second public service announcements about
the Buckeye Regional FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of
Science and Technology) Robotics Competition that will take place at
the Cleveland State University Convocation Center in Cleveland March
7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event
is open to the public and admission is free. Sixty-four teams of high
school students will be remotely controlling the robots they designed
and constructed in a battle for first place and the right to move on
to the championship event at Reliant Arena in Houston at the end of
April.
Please air this information through March 8.
10 seconds:
Robots will square off on March 7th and 8th at the CSU Convocation
Center in the second annual Buckeye Regional "FIRST" Robotics
Competition. Open to public. Free.
20 seconds:
Remote-controlled robots built by teams of students from 64 high
schools will challenge one another for first place in the second
annual Buckeye Regional "FIRST" Robotics Competition at the CSU
Convocation Center on March 7th and 8th. The whole family will enjoy
this exciting competition. Free.
30 seconds:
Witness a most unusual competition of strategy and skill. Teams of
students from 64 high schools from six states and Canada will
converge on Cleveland on March 7th and 8th. With remote-controlled
robots they designed and built, they will battle each other for first
place in the second annual Buckeye Regional "FIRST" Robotics
Competition at the CSU Convocation Center. The public is invited to
watch the competition and cheer the teams on. Admission is free.
