Maryland Security Firm Selected at NASA Glenn

NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio has selected Knight Protective Services, Inc. of Capitol Heights, Md. to provide on-site security services.

The performance based, firm-fixed-price contract includes a one-year base period with four one-year options. The contract has a potential value of $17.3 million over five years.

Under the terms of the contract, Knight Protective Services, Inc. will provide force deterrent and protection, gate and post watch standing, and personnel security/visitor control.

The contract was issued off the GSA Federal Supply Schedule and competition was restricted to those candidates qualifying under the Small Business Administration 8(a) Program, a federal initiative encouraging the development of less advantaged firms.
