Media representatives are invited to witness this noteworthy event that will provide for the transfer of NASA Glenn's expertise to the University, while also providing training that will assist the school in enhancing its existing safety, health, environmental and risk management program. The signing will take place in the Booker T. Washington Board Room at Tuskegee's Kellogg Conference Center. This event represents a first for NASA and for Tuskegee because it will develop a training document that can be used as a model by other entities, and is in keeping with NASA's mission to understand and protect our home planet, to explore the Universe and search for life, and to inspire the next generation of explorers…as only NASA can. Participants will include Glenn Director Donald J. Campbell, the Director of Glenn's Safety and Assurance Technologies Directorate Vernon (Bill) Wessel, Tuskegee University President Benjamin F. Payton, Ph.D., and the Director of Tuskegee's Environmental Health & Safety Program, Jesse A. Barnes, Sr. A brief question and answer period will follow the signing.
