The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission recently approved NASA's Decommissioning Plan and the project is now underway. Questions will be answered after the briefing and during the tour, including NASA's commitment to the health and safety of the public, the workers, and the environment throughout the project. Cameras and all other equipment are subject to scanning/screening for health and safety purposes on entrance and departure from the closed Reactor Facility. Low-heeled shoes and cotton or other natural fiber clothing is recommended. Synthetic fabrics could result in additional time to be surveyed on departing the facility. Safety glasses and hard hats are required and will be provided to participants.
