Focus is on the Future During Black History Month 

February is Black History Month and NASA's Glenn Research Center, 
Cleveland, will recognize the contributions made by the 
African-American community during a special Heritage Month Event on 
Thursday, February 14 from 9 - 11 a.m. in Glenn's DEB Auditorium.



Glenn has invited Thomas Todd, a civil rights attorney in Chicago, 
Ill., to be keynote speaker. Todd will address this month's national 
theme "The Color Line Revisited: Is Racism Dead? (Need to Focus on 
the Future)" from a legal perspective.



Well-recognized and respected in his field, Todd's extensive 
background includes serving as counsel in several Supreme Courts, 
publishing a multitude of academic and professional articles, and 
receiving over 500 awards and honors. Additionally, he holds the 
honor of being the first full-time black law professor at 
Northwestern University's School of Law. Todd has spoken on civil 
rights and education for various organizations and institutions 
throughout the U.S., Africa and Mexico.
