Statement by Glenn Research Center Director on the Increase in Funding for FY 2002

The following is a statement by Glenn Research Center Director Donald J. Campbell regarding the FY 2002 funding increase for the Center in the VA-HUD-Independent Agencies Appropriations Bill.

"Because of the strong support from our two U.S. Senators, the Ohio Delegation and the Governor, coupled with the support from the Cleveland and Northeastern Ohio business communities led by John Lewis of the Ohio Aerospace Council, the budget adjustments made in the final conference report of the VA-HUD-Independent Agencies Appropriations Bill will enable the men and women of Glenn Research Center to continue with the valuable research they are doing in aeronautics and space and fills the void that we have had because of previous proposed cuts."
