NASA Glenn to Hold News Briefing on FY2002 Budget

Media representatives are invited to attend a live broadcast of a briefing on NASA's fiscal year 2002 budget request on Monday, April 9 at 2 p.m. in the Administration Building at NASA Glenn Research Center.

NASA Administrator Daniel S. Goldin and NASA Comptroller Malcolm Peterson will participate in the briefing and answer questions from NASA Headquarters, Washington, DC. The briefing will be carried live on NASA TV with two-way question and answer capability for reporters covering the event from participating NASA centers.

Following the live broadcast, Glenn Center Director Donald J. Campbell and Glenn Chief Financial Officer Robert Fails will be available to explain and answer questions on the Glenn portion of the NASA budget.

A summary of the budget request will be distributed to media representatives at the beginning of the press conference and will be available on the NASA Home Page.

Reporters planning to attend the briefing should call the Media Relations Office at 216/433-2901 to be cleared through security.

NASA television is on GE-2, transponder 9C, located at 85 degrees West longitude, with vertical polarization. Frequency will be on 3880.9 MHz, with audio on 6l8 MHz.
