NOTE TO EDITORS/NEWS DIRECTORS: Performing Troupe Honors Women's 
History Month 

What do Ida B. Wells-Barnett and Eleanor Roosevelt have in common? 
They are both "Women of Courage and Vision" which is this year's 
theme chosen for National Women's History Month. Their stories will 
be told by the Women in History Troupe as part of the Women's History 
Month observance at NASA Glenn Research Center.



Glenn will host the program on Wednesday, March 21, at 9:30 a.m., in 
the Administration Building Auditorium.



One of the vignettes featured will be of Ida B. Wells Barnett, an 
African-American educator, newspaperwoman, anti-lynching campaigner 
and founder of the NAACP. Eleanor Roosevelt, the first activist First 
Lady and wife of President Franklin D. Roosevelt will be the other.



Additionally, the annual Federal Women's Program Awards will be 
presented during the program. This award, in its ninth year, 
recognizes men and women civil servants' contributions to the 
advancement of women at Glenn and their participation in community 
service organizations. Two employees are recognized each year, one at 
the supervisory level and one at the non-supervisory level.
