NOTE TO EDITORS/NEWS DIRECTORS:

Reactor Facility Decommissioning Workgroup Meeting

The Community Workgroup for the decommissioning of the closed Reactor Facility at NASA Glenn Research Center's Plum Brook Station will be meeting on Tuesday, January 23, from 7-9 p.m. in the Bettcher Room on the second floor of the East Building at BGSU Firelands in Huron, OH. The public has been invited to attend this meeting.

These quarterly meetings provide Glenn a vehicle for disseminating information on the decommissioning process to the members of the Workgroup and the community. The Workgroup consists of local area residents, including health and public safety professionals as well as members of Erie County's educational, environmental and minority communities. The meeting also provides an opportunity for the public to raise questions and concerns.

Media representatives interested in attending the meeting or obtaining additional information about the decommissioning project can contact Sally Harrington in the Community and Media Relations Office at Glenn at 216/433-2037.

Information on the decommissioning project can also be found at: http://www.grc.nasa.gov/www/pbrf/
