North Ridgeville Resident Promoted to Chief of Hazardous Chemicals
Office
Cleveland, OH -- Manuel B. Dominguez was recently
selected to serve as Chief of the Hazardous Chemicals Office at the
NASA Lewis Research Center.
In his new position, Dominguez's responsibilities will consist of
directing and managing the Center's Hazardous Communication and
Laboratory Safety Programs. He is also responsible for coordinating
the acquisition of all chemicals for the Center and will also serve
as head of the Chlorofluoro carbons (CFC's) Phase-out Committee,
tasked to develop plans to eliminate all CFC's at Lewis by 1995.
Joining Lewis in 1990, Dominguez held the position of safety engineer
in the Safety Assurance Office. He has written a technical paper
entitled "Controlling Hazardous Energy Sources."
Dominguez received his bachelor of science degree in biology from the
University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, and his master of science degree
in industrial safety from Central Missouri State University. He and
his wife, Sharon, reside in North Ridgeville, Ohio. They have two
children.
