NASA Lewis Research Center, North Coast Cable, Patrick Media and Sci-Fi TV Sponsor Art Contest for Cleveland City Schools

Cleveland, OH -- The Lewis Research Center, North Coast Cable, Patrick Media and Sci-Fi TV of Chicago have teamed up to sponsor an art contest for Cleveland area students in grades 9 through 12. The contest entitled "Visions of Space" will begin with a teachers' workshop at the Lewis Research Center on February 4, 1993.

"What better way to stimulate youngsters than to give them the freedom to dream and create visions of what space means to them," said JoAnn Charleston, deputy chief, Office of Educational Programs.

The winners will be announced in May, with a grand prize trip to a shuttle launch and visit to Disney World. One entry will be selected to appear on billboards throughout the Cleveland area.
