Dr. Sankovic

Dr. John Sankovic was selected chief of Glenn’s Bioscience and Technology Branch, Microgravity Division, Research and Technology Directorate. Sankovic previously served as Radioisotope Power Systems programmatic manager, Science Division, Programs and Projects Directorate. Sankovic brings to his new position a combination of proven skills in interdisciplinary research and technology development, program/project management and supervisory experience. Key among his accomplishments is oversight in the research and development of second-generation arcjet thruster technology, currently the highest performance arcjet in the world. He also led Russian Hall-Effect Thruster Technology II (RHETT2) technology development and Hall thruster flight readiness for on-orbit operation of the National Reconnaissance Office STEX spacecraft.
