Ingenuity Festival of Art and Technology
Downtown Cleveland
July 13 - 16
The best of Cleveland arts and technology will converge downtown once again for the city's second annual Ingenuity Festival. This spectacular event celebrates the creativity shared by the arts and technology communities. Festivities kick off at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, with a free celebration on Public Square and continue through Sunday, July 16.
NASA's Glenn Research Center is participating in the following performances and exhibits:
Rendezvous
July 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m.
May Company Stage
Don't miss "Rendezvous," a MorrisonDance piece inspired by the Discovery space shuttle mission STS-92. This dazzling performance, choreographed by Sarah Morrison, includes images of Discovery's journey to the International Space Station. NASA Glenn worked with MorrisonDance to incorporate a telescoping man-lift that symbolizes a robotic arm during an astronauts' spacewalk.

May Company Exhibit Corridor
NASA Glenn and the Cleveland Museum of Art joined forces to create this exhibit that takes festival-goers into a virtual world of art and technology. It combines 3-D images of NASA technology with models created by the Cleveland Institute of Art's Amanda Almon, and video and music by local artist Kasumi.
Confluence
July 15 at 4:30 and 5 p.m.
May Company Stage
Glenn is also collaborating with DancEvert to present "Confluence," a performance that debuted at the festival last year. Choreographed by Tom Evert, the piece uses wind, dance and flowing fabric to demonstrate the aeronautic states of balance and turbulence. It features students from the Cleveland Playhouse Summer Academy and set designs by artist Carol Adams.
