NASA Glenn Research Center is supporting the MC2STEM High School.
Information regarding the new MC2STEM High School Project has been launched. MC2STEM School provides students in grade 9 a rigorous curriculum and project-based learning environment that will prepare them for the 21st century global economy.
The following are supported services from NASA Glenn for the MC2STEM High School 9th grade:
Subject Matter Experts – Employees will assist teachers in aligning curriculum resources to current NASA content; bringing real challenges to use as real world, problem-based learning in the classroom; and assisting in evaluating students’ projects to determine mastery of projects. Employees will work with students by participating in classroom group projects, serving as advisors and mentors, present collaboratively at conferences, and serve as product review panelists, judges or consultants during projects.

Tutoring – Employees will provide tutoring to prepare students to take the Ohio Graduation Test.
Job Shadowing – NASA Glenn will provide interested MC2STEM High School students with job shadowing sessions in the technical areas and the professional and/or administrative areas.
Career Luncheons – During the job shadowing experience, students will have the opportunity to hear career profiles from NASA Glenn employees.
Professional Development – The NASA Glenn Educational Programs Office will provide professional development during the MC2STEM High School’s planning session, which will offer educators experiences that will enrich their understanding of curriculum concepts.
